Miguel Alvia (Co-founder)
A first-generation college student from a low-income immigrant family and the first Venture for America fellow from UNC Charlotte, Miguel co-founded his first profitable company (Daily View Pools LLC) while pursuing his B.S. full-time at the Belk College of Business.
After graduating in 2018 he designed user retention and acquisition strategies for brands like Morning Brew, Hearst, Business Insider, and Bodybuilding.com and learned how to code, all the while training and mentoring students preparing to enter Charlotte’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is excited to innovate the future of brand experiences and reimagine how users and startups interact.
Mark Ryan Borja (Co-founder)
Born and raised in North Carolina, Mark graduated in December 2016 from UNC Charlotte with a major in Communications: Mass Media and a minor in Film. Currently working at Beasley Media Group as a professional videographer, his goal is to create a digital platform that empowers creatives, brands, and artists of all shapes to collaborate and create beyond what they can imagine by themselves.
Diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in October 2017, Mark realized that there were no efforts to raise awareness for the disease in Charlotte. In response to this absence he founded the nonprofit “Save A Nut” in 2018, which has raised over $14,000 and is currently up and running at SaveANut.org.

Kenneth Johnson II
A Central Michigan University graduate originally from Belleville Michigan, Kenneth’s interest in video editing began in 6th grade with hopes of being Call of Duty content creator for the YouTube channel Machinima. With that ongoing interest his father bought him his first camera which he proceeded to film and record every moment of life.
After many years of wanting to become an FBI Agent, Kenneth found his passion in videography and video editing again during his Freshman year of college in which he helped one of his friends create content for his YouTube channel. He changed his Major and Minor from Criminal Justice and Psychology to Broadcast & Cinematics Arts and Legal Studies to pursue his childhood passion.
